A 15-year-old has been detained in France for allegedly stealing and attempting to sell data obtained from a cyberattack on **France Titres (ANTS)**, the French agency responsible for issuing administrative documents. The suspect allegedly used the alias 'breach3d' to offer millions of records for sale on a cybercriminal forum.

French authorities have apprehended a 15-year-old suspected of perpetrating a cyberattack against **France Titres (ANTS)**, the agency managing administrative documents in France. The individual is accused of stealing and attempting to sell sensitive data.
**ANTS** confirmed the breach after a threat actor, known online as 'breach3d', offered the stolen data for sale on a cybercriminal forum. The agency detected suspicious activity on its network on April 13th and notified authorities on April 16th, according to the Paris Prosecutorβs Office.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, allegedly operating under the moniker 'breach3d', attempted to sell between 12 and 18 million records obtained from the **ANTS** data breach.
The minor faces serious charges, including unauthorized access, persistence, and data exfiltration from a state-run automated personal data processing system, as well as possession of software enabling these offenses. The potential penalty includes a maximum of seven years in prison and a fine of EUR 300,000, as stated by the Paris Prosecutorβs Office.
A judge is currently overseeing the case, and prosecutors are seeking formal charges and judicial supervision for the minor based on the evidence gathered.
### Personal Information Exposed
On April 20th, **ANTS** disclosed that its systems had been breached, granting unauthorized access to data from both individual and professional accounts on the ants.gouv.fr portal.
The compromised data included full names, email addresses, dates of birth, postal addresses, and phone numbers.
