A widespread outage has impacted **ChatGPT**, **OpenAI's** conversational AI, along with its associated services and APIs. The disruption, which commenced at approximately 5 AM ET, affected users globally, with reports of issues coming from both the US and Europe. During the outage, **ChatGPT** users encountered persistent loading animations in the sidebar and were met with "too many concurrent requests" errors when attempting to send messages. Furthermore, a substantial number of **OpenAI API** endpoints, as many as 12, were listed as experiencing problems on the company's official status page. **OpenAI** was quick to acknowledge the incident, updating its status page at 5:30 AM ET with a statement: "We are investigating the issue for the listed services." The company subsequently reported applying a fix and began monitoring the situation. By 6 AM ET, **ChatGPT** and its related API services had largely recovered and were back online, bringing an end to an outage that lasted nearly 50 minutes.
